IASB has created a webpage where Illinois school board members can find information about upcoming events and information presented by COSSBA, the Consortium of State School Boards Associations. Find upcoming events and learn more about COSSBA, a non-partisan, national alliance made up of state school board associations that provides resources, information, and training opportunities.
Advocacy Conference Registration Opens May 1
Registration for the 2024 COSSBA Federal Advocacy Conference opens on May 1. Join fellow Illinois school board members and IASB staff, September 8-10, 2024, in Washington, D.C., to raise your voice for public education. Read about last year’s event that included 15 school board members and seven administrators from Illinois.

The first webinar in the 2024 Urban Boards Alliance (UBA) series is April 17. Strategies for Addressing Equity in Your District features Terry Oates. Ed.D., who will address the importance of fostering equity among students within the district and share diverse strategies implemented within their district aimed at enhancing equity among students.
