New Vision 2030 Website Launched, Future Meetings Scheduled 

School board members, representatives from IASB, and education leaders throughout the state attended the second Vision 2030 meeting in Springfield on January 24. Building off the success of Illinois Vision 2020, the goal of Vision 2030 is to create an advocacy framework that acts to fulfill the promise of public education in Illinois.  

In November 2023, members of IASB, the Illinois Association of School Administrators, Illinois School Business Officials, Illinois Principals Association, and Illinois Association of Regional Superintendents of Schools were surveyed to gain feedback on their priorities for Illinois public education. 

A Vision 2030 website is now available to allow school leaders to stay up to date on the progress of the initiative and learn more about the working groups and their goals. Those interested can also sign up to receive regular email updates about Vision 2030. The next Vision 2030 meeting is scheduled for May 1.  

IASB members who would like to be more involved in school board advocacy are encouraged to sign up to become an Advocacy Ambassador.
