The Consortium of State School Boards Associations (COSSBA) is gearing up for its 2024 Annual Conference, February 22-25 in Dallas, Texas. The conference’s headline speakers include author and organizational expert Sam Glenn; business strategist and author Nancy Giordano;  educational leadership author and speaker Douglas Reeves; and “Encourager, Educator, and Entertainer” Mickey Smith Jr. As of February 12, registration for the 2024 COSSBA Conference is still open.

In February, the Illinois Association of School Boards leadership team participated with COSSBA in a professional development session. COSSBA Chief Operating Officer Debb Oliver facilitated a two-day workshop with the IASB Executive Director Kimberly Small and department heads on February 8 and 12 to review and reflect on activities that advance IASB’s mission to support school boards.

COSSBA’s core purpose is “Uniting and uplifting a national coalition of state school board associations. Together, in a non-partisan spirit, we champion the cause of equipping public school board leaders with top-tier training. Our collective dedication drives us towards fostering exemplary and equal public education opportunities in every corner of the Nation.”

Mark your calendars for COSSBA’s next Federal Advocacy Conference, to be held in Washington D.C., September 8-10, 2024.
