The Equity Immersion event returns in 2023, offering an opportunity to quick-start the Joint Annual Conference experience on Thursday, November 16.
EmpowerED Equity: Make Equity Your Superpower will take place at the Fairmont Hotel in Chicago on November 16, starting with registration and networking at 9:30 a.m. and continuing through an evening reception. Attendees will engage in critical conversations and share experiences and insights into equity in the education arena.
Speakers, activities, breakout sessions and table topics will immerse school district leaders and equity experts in topics relevant to educational equity, including social and emotional learning and supports, trauma sensitivity and trauma-informed schools, unconscious bias, LGBTQIA+, the Equity Journey Continuum, diversity in staffing, inclusion in the workplace, empowering stakeholders, and more.
The 2023 Equity Immersion EmpowerED Equity: Make Equity Your Superpower is available to those who have registered for the 2023 Joint Annual Conference, which runs November 17-19. Conference registration opens June 5. An additional fee applies for the Equity Immersion event.
