She recently moved to Illinois from Florida, where she lived in Daytona and Orlando and volunteered on statewide election campaigns. Wagner was a Starbucks shift manager and an office manager for a tax accounting firm. The work of the IASB Governmental Relations team includes advocacy work on behalf of and with members, and working for, against, or to improve state and federal bills that impact member school districts.
