COSSBA: Upcoming Events (Updated)

Registration is available for upcoming events presented by COSSBA, the Consortium of State School Boards Associations. 

COSSBA’s Urban Boards Alliance will hold its Symposium in August at the Sheraton Chicago Riverwalk. “Doing The Work - Every Student Every Day” will take place August 24 and 25. Registration is open on the COSSBA website and details will be added as they become available.  

The UBA Symposium event program is now available. 

In September, COSSBA will hold its inaugural Federal Advocacy Conference in Washington, D.C. There will be an opening reception on September 25 and programming will take place on September 26 for COSSBA members interested in public education policy at the federal level. Full program information will be available shortly.  

Looking ahead, the second COSSBA National Conference will take place February 22-25, 2024 in Dallas.

On June 20 COSSBA presented a webinar with insights and experiences about the challenges faced by individuals and families who lack access to affordable and nutritious food. The panel, “Food Insecurity and Public Education,” was recorded and is to members via the COSSBA website. 
 
COSSBA is a non-partisan, national alliance dedicated to sharing resources and information to support, promote and strengthen state school boards associations. The Illinois Association of School Boards is a founding member. COSSBA’s Urban Boards Program is focused on supporting boards of education as they work to address the unique challenges students from challenging environments face daily.
