Some of the most attended sessions and one of the largest draws for school leaders at the Joint Annual Conference come from Illinois school districts that share successful programs and outcomes that are taking place in their local schools.

The 60-minute Share the Success panels are intended to address current challenges in education; be based on actual school system experiences; and be presented by board members, administrators, and contributing school or community members. Presenters are encouraged to share recent discoveries, lessons learned, and innovations succeeding in their schools while offering ideas on how other boards of education can replicate similar success in their home districts.

School districts and related education organizations can now submit proposals to present a Share the Success presentation at the 2024 Conference in Chicago, November 22-24. Those planning to submit panel presentations for review are encouraged to first preview the Request for Proposals questions prior to completing the online submission form. New to this year’s panel request form is the inclusion of presenters for each session.

A committee of IASB members will evaluate all proposals received. Based on the committee’s recommendations, invitations will be issued to the selected districts to present at the 2024 Annual Conference. The deadline for districts to submit proposals is March 1, 2024.

Proposals not selected for a Share the Success presentation may be offered an opportunity to present at the Carousel of Panels that takes place on Saturday afternoon of Conference.

Questions about submitting a proposal for the 2024 Joint Annual Conference should be directed to Katie Bulava.
