Governing Board Representative

What is a Governing Board Representative and What do they Do?

Every IASB member school board is asked to designate one member as their IASB Governing Board Representative.

The Governing Board Representative is responsible for casting votes on behalf of their board for division business, including voting on the election of division officers. The Governing Board Representative also facilitates two-way communication with the Association by alerting their board members of upcoming events, encouraging participation in IASB activities, relaying district concerns during Division Meetings, and reporting Division Meeting actions back to their local board.
