FALL SCHOOL OPENING GUIDANCE RELEASED
During a press briefing on Tuesday, June 23, Governor JB Pritzker outlined a plan for schools to open their doors to students in the fall. The guidance developed by the Illinois Department of Public Health and the Illinois State Board of Education can be found on the ISBE website.The education omnibus bill, Senate Bill 1569 (Bertino-Tarrant, D-Plainfield), that was reported in IASB Legislative Report 101-21 has been signed into law and is now Public Act 101-0643. The guidance, along with new flexibility granted in the new law, will help school boards determine the best path for opening their school districts in the coming months.
