Changes have been made to both the IASB Constitution and Position Statements as a result of action from Association membership at the 2025 IASB Delegate Assembly in November.
A new Position Statement was added to address school bus funding for districts. The Position Statement, 2.49b School Bus Safety Funding, states that IASB will advocate for district flexibility and options to comply with a law requiring newly purchased buses to be equipped with three-point seat belts beginning in 2031.

More changes were made to the IASB Constitution with the adoption of 10 amendments. All 10 amendments recommended by the Constitution Review Committee were approved by a more than two-thirds majority. The changes include membership eligibility clarifications, IASB officer terms, division leadership training, removal of outdated language, a new section on emergency declarations, and more. A full list of changes can be found in coverage of the 2025 Delegate Assembly.

IASB members will be mailed a copy of the IASB Constitution and Position Statements at the end of January.
