Statewide Framework For Success
IASB is partnering with ISBE, the Illinois Association of Regional Superintendents of Schools (IARSS), Illinois Principals Association (IPA), and the Illinois Association of School Administrators (IASA) to create a Statewide Framework for Success. The partnership is centered on the concept that every school can find areas of improvement and provides a pathway for how continuous improvement can be achieved.
The Framework aims to provide schools autonomy in their improvement processes by offering tools, resources, and expertise guided by best practices. Learn more about the Statewide Framework for Success in this brief video.
Numeracy Plan Listening Tour
The State Board of Education will continue its Numeracy Plan listening tour with more stops throughout the state in November. The tour is to gain feedback from teachers, ROEs, administrators, and other education leaders about the first draft of the Illinois Comprehensive Numeracy Plan.
All November stops begin at 4 p.m. at the dates and locations listed below. A November 4 Virtual Meeting is also scheduled.
Illinois Blue Ribbon Schools
With the U.S. Department of Education doing away with its Blue Ribbon Schools program honoring the best schools in the nation, similar recognition will now come from the state. Illinois Governor JB Pritzker has established the Illinois Governor’s Blue Ribbon School program to continue to honor the highest achieving schools. This year, 15 public schools and 12 nonpublic schools were recognized. A complete list of 2025 winners is available on the ISBE website.
Going forward, ISBE will manage the application process and the program that recognizes outstanding achievements of Illinois students and educators.
