Offers have been posted in the contract negotiations between Joliet HSD 204 and the Joliet Township Paraprofessional Council, AFT Local 604. The union represents 110 paraprofessionals and security staff. The previous collective bargaining agreement expired on July 1, 2025. The council and district offers were posted with the Illinois Educational Labor Relations Board on October 24, 2025.
At issue are rates of pay for 2025-2026 and beyond, insurance-related adjustments, and salary schedules.
Joliet HSD 204 is a 9-12 district with two schools and approximately 7,000 students.
