Registrants for the 2025 Joint Annual Conference should have received their Conference badges. Badges were mailed via USPS to district offices on October 24 in an orange envelope marked “CONFERENCE BADGES ENCLOSED” that also includes ribbons with position designations.

Attendees and guests do not need to check in at the Conference Registration Desk if they have the correct badge. For those who registered for an IASB Friday Focus Workshop, Equity Immersion, or the Administrative Professionals’ Program, a code printed at the bottom of your badge will allow entry to those events.

Conference App
The 2025 Conference app from Whova is available from the Apple App Store or Google Play store. Sessions in the app can be filtered by date, topical track, and venue location. The app allows attendees to create a personal schedule, join conversations through the Community Board, find meeting room maps and exhibitor information, access handouts, and participate in Conference Trivia.

IASB Member Hub
School board members attending Conference are encouraged to stop by the IASB Member Hub. The Member Hub is a go-to destination to meet fellow board members, learn about Association services and resources available to your board team, and chat with IASB staff. The Hub is also where to find ribbons for Conference badges and enter daily prize drawings.

Other Helpful Information
A Conference preview video is available. It includes an overview of activities and events, suggestions for how to plan a schedule, and information on networking opportunities and student participation taking place throughout the weekend.

First-time attendees should consider the Conference 101 panel on Friday, November 21 at 9 a.m. in the Hyatt East tower. This orientation session will walk through the Conference features, offer tips for navigating the event facilities, and answer any questions about the Conference. A list of Panel Sessions of particular interest to new board members has also been posted.

IASB has created key messages that can be used when discussing Conference participation with the residents of your district. Explaining the value of the Joint Annual Conference and how the event provides an investment for your district is a proactive opportunity to discuss how the training can result in improved outcomes for your students.

The Annual Conference takes place November 21-23 in Chicago, with pre-conference activities beginning on November 20. A detailed event schedule is available via the online Conference Planner.
