The Illinois Association of School Boards is pleased and honored to announce the recipient of the inaugural Tasha Levy Administrative Professionals Scholarship.
Congratulations to Julie Arreola, Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent of Sterling CUSD 5, who receives a scholarship to attend the 2025 Joint Annual Conference in Chicago.
The Tasha Levy Administrative Professionals Scholarship was created to honor the life and legacy of Tasha Levy, whose kindness, dedication, and warmth had a profound impact on her colleagues and the members she served at IASB. It is intended to support individuals who embody Tasha’s spirit of selflessness, community, and continuous learning and reflect the values she held dear — kindness, growth, and impacting the lives of others, and how they plan to carry those values forward in their work and communities.
Arreola’s application was selected by the scholarship committee based on demonstrating continuous learning, uplifting and inspiring, and pursuing goals with courage and care. The committee noted Arreola’s commitment to compassion and excellence in work and community, along with evident kindness and commitment to positively impacting the lives of others.
Applications for the next Tasha Levy Administrative Professionals Scholarship will be available in early 2026.
