Update: a tentative agreement between the school district and the Rockford Education Association has been reached on February 12.
Offers have been posted in the contract negotiations between Rockford CUSD 205 and the Rockford Education Association. The union represents over 1,600 teachers. The previous agreement expired June 30, 2025. The association and district offers were posted with the Illinois Educational Labor Relations Board on January 5, 2026.
Rockford CUSD 205 is a K-12 district with 44 schools and approximately 28,000 students.
