Division Bylaws Available
Bylaws approved by each IASB Division are available to IASB members on their Division Community pages. The bylaws contain important information about the mission and governing structure of each IASB Division. Details about the governing board, nomination and election of officers, division officer duties and responsibilities, selection of meeting dates, and rules of order are all highlighted in division bylaws. IASB members can view division officers, find contact information for their Outreach & Training Director, and participate in discussions with fellow division members via their Division Community page.
IASB Welcomes Ciok to Governmental Relations Team
Jennifer Ciok is IASB’s new Director of Government Relations. Ciok has worked in education for over 25 years, working closely with students, educators, schools, partners, and the University of Chicago to create equitable and supportive educational environments where students thrive. She is also the author of the book "The Meaningful Middle School Classroom." Ciok has delivered professional development to hundreds of educators, served on her community’s local school board, was the chair for the AMLE Advocacy Committee, and has been invited to write articles for various publications and speak on panels, podcasts, and at national conferences. In her role at IASB, Ciok will develop tools to enhance involvement and awareness of advocacy efforts of school board members and support legislative efforts at the state and federal levels. She will be working from IASB’s Lombard office.
IASB Offices Will Close for the Winter Holidays
IASB offices in Springfield and Lombard will be closed for the holidays at the conclusion of the business day on Friday, December 19, 2025, and will reopen on Monday, January 5, 2026. The Illinois Association of School Boards wishes you a happy holiday season and the very best in 2026.
