
The 2026 Board Presidents' Academy offers a full day of professional development for current and aspiring school board presidents and vice presidents at two locations.
Participants will gain access to key resources and materials designed specifically with the board president position in mind. Attendees will have the opportunity to exchange ideas and build valuable, lasting relationships that can be added to your network of school leader contacts. The training will leave school board members inspired and ready to take on the challenges of the board leadership role.

- PJ Caposey, Ed. D., Oregon CUSD 220 superintendent, will address the dual nature of leadership — the honor and weight that it carries and the responsibility it demands.
- Interactive scenarios to build your knowledge and confidence using Robert’s Rules of Order.
1 p.m. — Making Meetings Matter
- Discover new skills to plan, conduct, and evaluate effective meetings.
- A panel discussion that will include Q&A with veteran board presidents on practical strategies to lead conversations that encourage collaboration and effective decision-making.
