IASB Advocacy Day 03/24/2026

    Join us for IASB Advocacy Day! This event brings school board members together to elevate their voices at the state level. You will have the opportunity to meet with legislators and hear from panels of education leaders and policymakers to discuss key issues impacting public education and your school district’s students. By sharing your district’s perspective, you help ensure that lawmakers understand the real-world implications of their decisions on schools and communities. As a part of Advocacy Day and in the weeks leading up to the event, IASB will offer comprehensive legislative and advocacy training to ensure that school board members are equipped with the up-to-date information and necessary advocacy skills to make their meetings a success. In addition, Advocacy Day will provide valuable opportunities for networking and learning. Attendees will connect with fellow board members from across Illinois, exchange ideas, and attend committee meetings to gain insight into the policymaking process. Whether you’re an experienced advocate or new to legislative engagement, this day is designed to empower you with knowledge and relationships that will strengthen your role as an education leader.
