The Illinois Association of School Boards (IASB) is a non-profit member organization serving local boards of education that are responsible for the community’s investment in public education for every child. Launched in 1913 by a group of school board members in Quincy, Illinois, IASB today includes active membership of 100% of the school boards in Illinois.

IASB’s mission is to build excellence in local school board governance. The Association actively engages with volunteer school board members by providing training, resources, and programming to effectively lead their local schools and to advocate for public education and the success of every child.
