Tentative agreements have been reached in both Cahokia Unit SD 187 and Mahomet-Seymour CUSD 3 to avoid a teacher strike. Both agreements are subject to ratification by the local unions.

Offers have been posted in the contract negotiations between Will County SD 92 and its teachers union, Will County SD 92 Council, American Federation of Teachers Local 604, IFT/AFT, AFL-CIO. Negotiations have been ongoing since March. Offers were posted with the Illinois Educational Labor Relations Board on September 24.

At issue are salary, protections from transfers for experienced educators, and health insurance.

Will County SD 92 is a PK-8 district based in Lockport. The district has approximately 1,400 students and 125 teachers.
