Offers have been posted in the contract negotiations between Cahokia Unit SD 187 and its teachers union, Cahokia Federation of Teachers, Local 1272, IFT-AFT, AFL-CIO. Negotiations have been ongoing since June 2025. Union and district offers were posted with the Illinois Educational Labor Relations Board on July 14, 2026.

At issue are salary increases and additional costs for medical insurance.

Cahokia Unit SD 187 is a PK-12 district based in Cahokia with eight school buildings. The district has approximately 2,950 students and 184 teachers.
