Offers have been posted in the contract negotiations between Mahomet-Seymour CUSD 3 and its teachers union, Mahomet-Seymour Education Association, IEA-NEA. Negotiations have been ongoing since March. Offers were posted with the Illinois Educational Labor Relations Board on September 15.

At issue are teacher-directed collaboration time, wages, and health insurance. If a contract cannot be reached, the earliest the teachers can strike is September 29.

Mahomet-Seymour CUSD 3 is a P-12 unit district based in Mahomet in east central Illinois. The district has approximately 3,400 students and 211 teachers in four schools.

In addition to Mahomet-Seymour, as of September 16, offers have also been posted in Cahokia Unit SD 187.
