In their continuing commitment to help school districts and special education cooperatives comply with ISBE's requirements for special education policy and procedure, the Illinois Council of School Attorneys (ICSA) and IASB have prepared the documents described below. The sample policies and procedures provide a starting place for school districts and cooperatives to develop and refine their own material.

These documents include:

• REVISED December 2023, Special Education Procedures Assuring the Implementation of Comprehensive Programming for Children with Disabilities

• REVISED December 2023, memo describing amendments throughout the procedures made to reflect new state legislation.

• IASB's sample policy 6:120, Education of Children with Disabilities (last revised in November 2021)

• IASB's sample policy 7:230, Misconduct by Students with Disabilities (last revised in June 2021)
