IASB members can now find the 2026 Resolutions Committee Report on the IASB website. Three printed copies are being mailed to each member district. The Report includes information on five resolutions considered by the IASB Resolutions Committee, with three receiving a “Do Adopt” vote and two receiving a “Do Not Adopt” recommendation, which can be appealed.

Also featured in the Report is information about IASB Position Statement changes and an overview of the review process.

Delegates for IASB member school boards will vote on the resolutions at the Delegate Assembly on November 21 in Chicago.

The annual Delegate Assembly is the meeting where IASB members vote on proposals submitted by local school boards to direct the Association’s advocacy efforts that benefit Illinois public schools. Each school board that is a member of the Association is entitled to one voting delegate at the Delegate Assembly. Every member board is advised to select one individual board member to serve as its delegate, and to review proposed resolutions with the full board before determining its vote.

Delegate Registration is Open
IASB member districts can begin registering their delegate. The Resolutions Committee Report includes information about selecting a delegate and having an alternative delegate available.

The Delegate Assembly will take place Saturday, November 21, at 11:45 a.m. in the Grand Ballroom in the Hyatt East Tower. Only registered delegates will be able to participate. Only district roster managers can pre-register the delegate for your district, and districts are strongly encouraged to register their delegate by November 8.

In-person delegate registration will be available onsite on Friday, November 20, and Saturday, November 21.

IASB will present two webinars to assist delegates, presented by the IASB Governmental Relations team. Both webinars are open to all IASB members; delegates in particular are encouraged to participate.
