The Illinois Association of School Boards is launching a new way for members to connect across the state. The Storytellers Library, now available in the IASB Community, features recorded stories from school board members sharing their experiences, motivations for service, and commitment to public education advocacy.

Through personal stories, members can gain new perspectives, discover shared experiences, and build meaningful connections with peers serving communities throughout Illinois.

IASB members can log in to the Community website to listen to stories from fellow board members, including Victoria Wolfinger from Skokie SD 73.5, Terry Taylor from Keeneyville SD 20, and Tina Garrett from Des Plaines CCSD 62. IASB Executive Director Kimberly Small also shares how her love for K-12 public education began.

Members interested in sharing their own experiences are invited to be interviewed by IASB staff for a recording to help build the collection of voices from across Illinois.
