Individuals in every district who perform the duties of the school board secretary or superintendent's administrative assistant are invited to attend the Administrative Professionals’ Program, to take place November 20-21, 2026, in conjunction with the IASB • IASA • IASBO Joint Annual Conference in Chicago.

This professional development opportunity is designed to enhance the skills and effectiveness of district staff who serve as school board secretaries or superintendent administrative assistants, supporting the board of education and superintendent within their district. Individuals registered for the Joint Annual Conference as an administrative professional are invited and encouraged to attend this unique opportunity.

The two-day program features sessions thoughtfully designed to strengthen knowledge and enhance professional skills for both those new to the role and those with years of experience. The event opens with the presentation of the 2026 Holly Jack Outstanding Service Award. A keynote workshop, Building Healthy Partnerships at Work, will be presented by Rhonda Scharff on Friday morning, November 20, followed by breakout panels, networking at the AP Power Hour, and more panel sessions. The Administrative Professionals’ Program takes place at the Swissötel in Chicago.

There is no additional fee for the Administrative Professionals’ Program; attendees must be registered for the Joint Annual Conference. Registration is open. Contact Shantel Rotherham with questions or for additional information about the Administrative Professionals' Program.
