The Illinois Association of School Boards has issued the Call for Resolutions for this year’s Resolution Process, which culminates with the 2026 Delegate Assembly on November 21 in conjunction with the Joint Annual Conference in Chicago.

Successful resolutions become IASB Position Statements, which guide the direction of the Association’s advocacy efforts and legislative agenda.

School boards are encouraged to review the FAQ and complete the 2026 IASB Resolutions Submission Form by the June 24 deadline. As noted in the FAQ, a proposal must be approved by a majority vote of the school board prior to submission. Proposals will be presented to the Resolutions Committee on August 7.
