The IASB Joint Annual Conference Scholarship Program, in its third year, will help send 15 school board members to the premier training and networking event for Illinois school board members this fall. Of those selected, 13 will be attending the Conference for the first time.

The scholarship program encourages participation from board members who have never attended the Annual Conference, as well as from districts that have not recently sent any board members to the event or are in financial need. Through this program, IASB aims to expand access to professional development opportunities and strengthen school board leadership across the state.

This year, scholarships were awarded to the following districts:

Each scholarship covers the Joint Annual Conference registration fee ($560), a daily meal allotment, and eligible transportation and incidental expenses.

To help participants make the most of their experience, IASB Directors will serve as mentors and guide scholarship recipients through the Conference programming.

The 2026 IASB • IASA • IASB Joint Annual Conference will take place in Chicago, November 20-22.
