Addressing the Illinois Education Shortage 

Securing the employment of educators amidst a recurring wave of candidate shortages threatens the stability and the outcomes of the education system. Confronted with this national challenge, district ingenuity has enabled some degree of coverage while ongoing readjustments within the state have yielded gradual relief.

Regional Superintendent of Schools Julie Wollerman (Regional Office of Education #3) will share insight on data-proven causes and trends, rural and urban district dynamics, available options for districts, as well as state-regional services that may be coupled with current district efforts to reduce staffing strains. Following the presentation, a question-answer period will occur, as time permits.
