Teacher Appreciation Week is May 5-9, 2025 

May 5-9, 2025 is National Teacher Appreciation Week and May 6 is noted as National Teacher Day. 

Resources from the National PTA and the National Education Association are available to help school districts honor teachers.  

The National PTA is presenting a toolkit for 2025 with a theme of "Teachers Light the Way to Brighter Futures." The site includes pintable thank-you cards, certificates, flyers, activities, social media graphics, and web ads. 

The National Education Association promotes #ThankATeacher and also offers several suggestions for appreciation activities and ways to “Turn Appreciation into Action.” 

The Illinois Association of School Boards joins the education community in offering gratitude to educators across the state.
