Policy Consultant

Description: The IASB, a not-for-profit association that trains and services public school boards, is seeking applications for a part-time Policy Consultant to work out of its Lombard office. Major responsibilities include visiting school districts throughout northern and central Illinois to consult, to develop local school board policy manuals and administrative procedures manuals, to train school board members in their policymaking role and to demonstrate new technology.
Job Requirements: Requirements include the ability to work with and relate to diverse groups; skills in writing, computer literacy, Internet use, public speaking, and interpersonal relations; and the ability to conduct programs and workshops for school boards. School board member experience or education-related background preferred.
Please Note: The position requires travel and evening and weekend availability.
Part-time Policy Consultants work out of their home while being supported out of the association offices.
Education: A graduate or bachelors degree is required.

Description: This full-time position in IASB's Lombard office is available immediately. Responsibilities include supporting the director of executive searches and search consultants in providing existing and new services to our clients. Duties include but are not limited to: telephone client contact, contract and file management, word processing, data entry, scheduling meetings, preparing meeting materials, general office duties and other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements: Requirements include but are not limited to the following: excellent people skills, telephone and communication skills, attention to detail, good oral and written communication skills, ability to work with diverse groups and excellent organizational skills are essential. Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office Professional 2003 required.

Description: This full-time position is available July 1, 2008. Responsibilities include supporting two IASB staff members. Duties include creating presentation materials using desktop publishing software and PowerPoint; workshop and meeting planning and scheduling; workshop materials preparation and inventory maintenance; telephone client contact; file management; word processing; general office duties, and other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements: Requirements include but are not limited to the following: Knowledge of current software including Desktop Publishing software, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Microsoft Office Professional 2003 are required. Knowledge of Access a plus. Excellent people, telephone, and communication skills; attention to detail; good grammar and organizational skills are essential. Pleasant, congenial office.
