Honoring Excellence in Illinois School Law

The Illinois Council of School Attorneys (ICSA) Impact Award recognizes attorneys with 10 or more years of service in Illinois who have made significant contributions to school law through enduring leadership and influence in shaping legal standards and school governance practices.

Evaluation Criteria

Each nomination is evaluated on a 100-point scale across seven key categories assessing the nominee’s contributions, leadership, and alignment with award criteria. In addition to this core score, reviewers may award up to 20 additional points based on qualitative insights—such as the depth, clarity, and impact of the nominee’s responses. This brings the total possible score to a maximum of 120 points.

  • Have a minimum of 10 years of active ICSA membership
