2024 Digest of Bills Passed Available Online 

IASB’s Governmental Relations team has identified and compiled a list of bills passed during the 2024 Spring Legislative Session that impact public education and Illinois school districts. The Digest of Bills includes a brief synopsis of each bill and is designed to call attention to proposed statutory changes of importance to local school officials and other stakeholders. 

The Digest includes a list of bills passed, a table of contents divided by subject matter, a chart explaining the action the Governor can take on passed bills, and instructions to assist with determining the effective date of a new law. Each bill entry includes an active link to the Illinois Legislative Information System website for users who may want to read the complete text of a bill.
