Online registration is now open for three new multi-division regional events presented by the Illinois Association of School Boards. IASB members looking to gain insight on important issues impacting Illinois school boards and discover what fuels motivation and success in today’s challenging and ever-changing world can register for any of the three events.
The events will offer a keynote, morning and afternoon break-out sessions, and opportunities to network with fellow school board members and administrators across the state.
On March 25 in Peoria Sheila Caldwell, Ed.D., will keynote “Make Right, Act Right, and Do Right by all Students in Illinois.” Her session will highlight important fundamental structures to create and sustain inclusive and equitable models in K-12 education. Attendees will learn when and how to build infrastructure to articulate vision and provide strategic expertise that drive insights and capabilities.
Then, on May 20 in Champaign, Melissa Agnes will present “The New Rules of Crisis Management: How to Succeed No Matter What.” Her session will explore up-to-date concepts in crisis management and share the three pillars required to ensure leader-readiness to succeed no matter what.
Lastly, on June 17 in Collinsville, Brenda Clark Hamilton will offer practical, take-home strategies for remaining positive, level-headed, and assured in her keynote “The Mentally Strong Leader: Strategies for Increasing Your Resiliency.”
Each Saturday program begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m. In-person registration includes a continental breakfast and networking lunch. A free optional add-on Friday Night Legislative Networking Session from 6-8 p.m. will offer hors d’oeuvres and refreshments.
The registration fee is $150 per event and seating is limited. A virtual registration option for $50 is offered for the May 20 event. Attendance at each event earns participants 15 points in IASB's Board Leader Recognition Program.
The three events combine 12 of the Association’s division events for spring. A listing of all IASB events is available on the IASB Events Calendar.
