Preliminary results from county election websites show a mixed response to referenda questions on the November 8, 2022 ballot. Unofficial totals show voters approved eight of 14 building bond requests.
The eight building bond issues approved include
- Cass SD 63, $12.8 million
- Downers Grove GSD 58, $179 million
- Farrington CCSD 99, $250,000
- Germantown Hills SD 69, $7 million
- Hillsboro CUSD 3, $13 million
- North Shore SD 112, $114.4 million
- Palatine CCSD 15, $93 million
- Winnetka SD 36, $59.4 million
School districts with tax rate increases on the ballots also had mixed results. Three of the seven proposals passed, including Center Cass SD 66, Homewood SD 153, and Lemont THSD 210.
Voters in all ten school districts seeking to change how school board members are elected from congressional township to being elected at-large approved the measure in the following districts
- Arcola CUSD 306
- Cissna Park CUSD 6
- Durand CUSD 322
- Elverado CUSD 196
- Havana CUSD 126
- Lena Winslow CUSD 202
- Metamora CCSD 1
- Momence CUSD 1
- Sullivan CUSD 300
- Tuscola CUSD 301
Voters also approved deactivation of the Crescent-Iroquois CUSD 249 Junior High School facility.
IASB will update the finance election data in the coming weeks.
