IASB Invites Districts to Participate in Resolutions Process 

IASB member boards of education have been invited to submit resolution proposals for consideration by the 2022 IASB Delegate Assembly. Resolution forms and accompanying information were emailed to Association member districts in mid-April. A fillable submission form is available online; proposals will be accepted until June 22, 2022. 

 

New in 2022, a Constitution and Resolution Review Committee, at the request of the IASB Board of Directors, was formed and has been meeting since January. The Review Committee has made, and the Board of Directors has approved, recommendations to strengthen the Resolutions Process. The IASB Resolutions Committee, consisting of one elected member from each of the 21 Association divisions, will meet in early August to review submitted proposals. The Delegate Assembly will be held November 19 at the Joint Annual Conference in Chicago. The outcomes of the Delegate Assembly determine the direction of the Association’s advocacy efforts and legislative priorities. Each IASB member school board is entitled to one voting delegate at the Assembly.
