Teachers in Gen Geo Patton SD 133 in Riverdale are on strike as of March 8. According to the district website, the parties remain apart on negotiations of salary and “professional dress expectations.” The elementary district’s building was open to students, according to a message posted by Board President LaTroy Robinson on the district website.
A strike that started March 4 continues in Proviso THSD 209, based in Maywood. Per the district website, classes and extracurricular activities are canceled on March 8 and 9. The district presented an offer to the teachers union on March 1, increasing its salary proposal to 9% over three years (3% each year). Negotiations with a federal mediator continue.
Negotiations continue in Champaign CUSD 4 for which offers were posted by the Illinois Education Labor Relations Review Board on March 4.
