IASB Welcomes Four to Policy Services, General Counsel Staffs

The Illinois Association of School Boards introduces four new members of the Association staff. Tammie E. Ng is a new Director of Policy Services and Michael Ifkovits is a Legal Assistant in the Office of General Counsel; both are based in Lombard. Working in the Springfield office, Tasha Levy and Jenni Robinson have joined the Policy Services department.

Ifkovits_MichaelMichael Ifkovits joins IASB as a Legal Assistant in the Office of General Counsel. A Chicago-area native, he graduated from Robert Morris University-Illinois with a bachelor’s degree in Professional Studies with a concentration in Law Office Administration and Paralegal Studies. Prior to IASB, Ifkovits worked as a full-time hockey referee with USA Hockey, living and traveling throughout the United States while skating in various junior and collegiate leagues.

Tasha Levy has joined IASB as an Administrative Assistant in the Policy Services department. Prior to IASB, she worked in the intake department for Blue Cross and Blue Shield. Levy graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications with a concentration in Public Relations from Mississippi Valley State University. Levy supports IASB Policy Directors and other staff, as well as assisting members with PRESS Plus and other duties.

Tammie E. Ng is an IASB Director of Policy Services. Ng previously worked in compliance and risk at a provider of revenue cycle management solutions in the healthcare field. She has experience as a judicial law clerk, reporting to the Presiding Judge at the Circuit Court of Cook County. Ng is admitted to the Illinois Bar and licensed to practice law in Illinois. She received her Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law, where she served on the editorial board for the DePaul Journal of Healthcare and as a mentor for the Academic Success Program. Before law school, she received her Bachelor of Science in Health Science with a Minor in Music for Violin Performance from Benedictine University.

Jenni Robinson joins the Association in the newly created position of Policy Specialist. Her work will include keeping up to date with PRESS Plus tasks, including phone and email communication with PRESS Plus subscribers. Before joining the Association, Robinson worked in the optical field, fitting patients for glasses, among various other duties, as a manager and assistant to Springfield-area optometrists.
