Celebrate Teachers May 2-6, 2022 

IASB joins the education community in showing appreciation to teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week, May 2-6 2022. Organizations from the National PTA to local school districts offer ways to celebrate the work that teachers do.   

Teacher Appreciation Week offers the chance to thank teachers for their work in educating two million Illinois students. Through time of great challenge, our educators continue to ensure students have the skills and tools they need to be successful future leaders. They are pillars for our communities and invaluable assets to our children and schools.  

IASB encourages members to joing the appreciation by use the hashtags #ThankATeacher or #TeachingIsAWorkOfHeart on social media to honor the district’s caring and dedicated educators. Resources, artwork, and suggested activities to #ThankATeacher can be found on the National PTA website.
