Districts Selected to ‘Share the Success’ at 2021 Joint Annual Conference

Twenty-six “Share the Success” panels have been chosen from proposals submitted by Illinois school districts and related education organizations to be presented at the 2021 Joint Annual Conference. The panels offer the presenting districts an opportunity to share the programs and processes that have proven successful in their districts, while allowing attendees to gain insight and information from their peers that may be helpful in their own schools.

The presenting districts and associated panel topics are as follows:

  • Scott-Morgan CUSD 2 — Sharing a Superintendent: “A Path to Success”
  • Meridian CUSD 223 — Meaningful Conversations Lead to Meaningful Change
  • Northbrook/Glenview SD 30 — The Power of Aligning Educational and Facility Visions
  • Woodland CCSD 50 — Crisis Communication: Building Trust When Tensions are High
  • Plainfield CCSD 202 — Student Involvement in the Decision Making Process
  • Illini Bluffs CUSD 327 — A Rural District’s Recipe for Improving School Facilities

  • Indian Prairie CUSD 204 — Forming Intergovernmental Agreements as a Protection from TIFs
  • Northwest Suburban Special Education Organization — Positive Pathways Forward For Students with Disabilities
  • Belvidere CUSD 100 — Working Together to Build an Advanced Technology Center
  • Chicago SD 299 — PIVOTING Facilities Forward in the Age of COVID & Beyond
 A committee of school board members from IASB divisions throughout the state evaluated and selected the panel presentations. The committee evaluated the proposals on key criteria, including
  • Interest or relevance for board members;
  • Creativity and innovation;
  • Emphasis on board work rather than staff work;
  • Documented evidence to support program success; and
  • Ability to be replicated by other school districts in Illinois.
All “Share the Success” panels will be presented at the Joint Annual Conference in Chicago from November 19-21, 2021.
