On March 5, Governor JB Pritzker extended the disaster proclamation in Illinois for an additional 30 days. Executive Order 2021-05 extends prior coronavirus pandemic-related EOs, including those for the Open Meetings Act, through April 3. The Executive Order continues to generally exempt governmental functions from mitigations such as limits on meeting size, however, school boards should continue to consult with their counsel and local health departments for guidance on in-person attendance limits at board meetings.
