The Illinois Association of School Boards presents its next livestream, an event especially for school board candidates, on the evening of March 18.
Replacing for 2021 the Candidates Briefing typically held at in-person Division Meetings, the Informational Webinar for School Board Candidates will provide aspiring members with an overview of an elected school board member’s roles and responsibilities and an idea of what to expect if they are successful in the April election. Current board members are encouraged to invite candidates to attend.
Candidates will learn about the board member roles and expectations, building the new board team, IASB’s offerings for new board members, and the many available resources for your first year and beyond.
This event takes place on IASB’s Livestream webpage on Thursday, March 18, at 6:30 p.m. No registration or fees are required.
A previously-recorded Informational Webinar for School Board Candidates is available on the IASB Elections page.
