On February 5, Governor JB Pritzker extended the disaster proclamation in Illinois for an additional 30 days. New Executive Order 2021-04 extends prior EOs, including those for the Open Meetings Act, through March 6.
As of February 5, all 11 regions of Illinois have returned to Phase 4 with no additional tiered restrictions. The new Executive Order continues to generally exempt governmental functions from mitigations such as limits on meeting size, however, boards should continue to consult with their counsel and local health departments for guidance on in-person attendance limits.
