Topics for the upcoming 2020 Fall Division Virtual Meetings have been announced and are listed below. Meetings began with the Shawnee Division on September 22, featuring a discussion about “The Effects of COVID-19 on Education.” Other gatherings will feature topics such as school-wide mental health, how multi-video conferencing can enrich education, crisis and perseverance, and school liability in the age of COVID.
For these virtual gatherings, some IASB divisions are combining their efforts. Board members are encouraged to attend within their home division to stay current on local activities. Additionally, because these meetings are topical, convenient, and accessible, Illinois school board members are welcome to attend any, and as many, of the meetings that they wish.
Refer to the chart below for a comprehensive list of Division Meeting dates, locations, and topics. These Virtual Division Meetings are free and will take place on the Zoom platform. To register for a Division Meeting, visit the IASB Events Calendar.
