Masks Available for Illinois School Districts
Date PostedOctober 14, 2020
IASB has joined with the National School Board Association (NSBA) and Bella+Canvas to distribute free face masks to districts in need. The Masks for Kids program plans to donate more than 4 million masks to schools across the country.
IASB has begun the process to distribute 85,000 masks to Illinois school districts as they navigate reopening plans. Schools most in need of protective wear for students should contact Chris Montrey, firstname.lastname@example.org, and include “Masks for Kids” in the email subject line. Please only request the amount of face masks that your district needs to safely accommodate your students, staff, and faculty.
The Masks for Kids program provides access to breathable, comfortable face masks at a massive scale to school districts nationwide. Learn more about Masks for Kids on the NSBA website.
“Anything we can do to ease some burdens for our school districts and ensure that students can safely attend class, we are all-in. Our schools and their leaders are facing some extremely challenging circumstances and we want to do all we can to help,” said IASB Executive Director Tom Bertrand, Ph.D.
