November 5: IASB Offers Discussion on 2020 Resolutions
Date PostedNovember 3, 2020
The virtual nature of the Delegate Assembly will allow little discussion, so IASB has scheduled two online events for discussion of the submitted resolutions and for member district delegates to ask questions and debate the merits of the proposals.
The first discussion was October 21; the second is Thursday, November 5.
The October 21 discussion is available at IASB’s Delegate Assembly webpage. The link also contains full details on the 2020 Resolutions Process, including the complete Resolutions Committee Report, how to join the discussion, and information on registering as the district’s delegate, which must be done by November 7.
For 2020, the committee recommended the adoption of three proposed resolutions, the reaffirmation of three existing position statements, and the addition of one new belief statement. Further details on all the proposed resolutions and the rationales for the Committee’s recommendations are available in the complete Resolutions Committee Report. Also included are a number of amendments to and deletions of out-of-date or no longer relevant position statements.
The delegates at the online assembly will vote on these proposals on November 14.
