Graduation requirements and educator licensure flexibility
A recent executive order by the governor has added emergency rules to allow eighth grade-students and high school seniors the flexibility to graduate on time. The rules waive SAT and Constitution test graduation requirements and make other temporary changes. Details of the changes and modifications, as well as other graduation information, are available in this State Board of Education FAQ.
The executive order also addresses student teachers and educator license requirements. Added flexibility for student teachers includes the suspension of edTPA and in-person instruction requirements through August 31. Additional information is posted in the educator licensure changes FAQ.
