IASB is soliciting responses from as many members a possible for its 2020 member survey. The Association works to gauge member engagement and satisfaction. This survey focuses on methods of communication and assesses Association products and services.

An invitation to complete the online survey was emailed to all active board members and other individuals – superintendents, administrative professionals, and other administrators – who interact with IASB. A postcard mailed to each member’s preferred mailing address will also include the access link.

Since 1998 IASB has collected demographics of school board members through its member surveys to identify trends in school board service. It also seeks to learn about current issues and topics of interest to school leaders and the communities they serve.

The last IASB member survey was in 2018. This year’s survey is shorter and much more focused.

A strategic priority of the Association is to provide timely and meaningful information, support, and resources necessary to meet the changing needs of members and member districts. Member feedback helps IASB improve services to enhance the value of your membership.

The online survey is optimized for desktop and tablets. It will take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete online. All responses will remain confidential and will only be used in aggregate for IASB reporting purposes.

The survey will remain open through the end of March 2020. Questions about the member survey can be directed to the IASB Communications Department.
