As many Illinois school districts have started the school year with a remote learning or hybrid model, school governance leaders face key questions:
- Do we have a plan to address the disadvantages that some students are experiencing with the digital divide?
- Do we have students who are not logging in daily?
- Do we have students who are not engaging in and completing virtual work?
- Are any students falling behind grade level?
Join Michael English and Adam Cibulka from Forecast5 and Illinois superintendents John Langton from Addison SD 4 and Robert McBride from Lockport THSD 205 for the webinar “Virtual Education: Are Your Students Engaging, AND Learning?” to discuss live data dashboards, connecting core student information to classroom activity data streams to track the quality of engagement in a virtual environment. Panelists will discuss the process of identifying students who are having trouble connecting and engaging in remote learning, as well as providing a framework for reporting engagement statistics to building leaders and key stakeholders.
This Zoom webinar takes place on September 3, 2020 at 1 p.m. and is free and a benefit of IASB membership. Registration is available via the IASB Events Calendar.
