The session is intended to provide educational leadership with a way to effectively train, communicate, and coordinate with local police, fire, and EMS before and during active shooter incidents. At the end of the presentation, attendees will be able to:
• Describe the application of the Incident Command System to the management of violent school events.
• Describe the Incident Command System for school reunification.
• Describe how educational leadership can effectively engage with local police, fire, and EMS in managing Active Shooter incidents.
• Identify no-cost training Active Shooter Incident Management and Reunification opportunities for local schools, police, fire, and EMS.
